First Snow

The most wonderful thing in the world is being alone in the forest after a heavy snow when tree branches hang low from the added weight of last night’s weather.

Few things say home and Mom more than a fresh loaf of banana bread that has to be made because all those bananas you bought to start your new diet are just turning brown and soft on the unused food portion of your counter.

Cream Fraiche

From entrees to deserts, a lot of fine food recipes call for cream Fraiche and while you can buy it, it adds a lot of cost and chemicals to your food, so how about instead, you just make it and wonder at the marvel of nature at work.

I may not be French, and I may not be Cajun, but I’m someone who likes good food and gumbo marries all that is good about cuisine in a single entree.
