Country Ribs

Ribs is a great meal and fun to eat. FYI guys though, not a good date entree especially if you go out to eat. Do you really want the image of you with sauce all over your face as you eat with your fingers to be the image foremost in her mind as she agonizes over whether you’re worth a second date? Not to worry though, this recipe uses boneless pork ribs so you can eat with a fork. See if you can spot the give-away ingredient making this a South Dakota recipe.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs boneless pork ribs (country cut)
  • 8 small Potatoes
  • 4 Carrots – halved in 1″ lengths
  • 3 Celery ribs – 1/2″ lengths
  • 1 Onion – coarsely chopped
  • 1 Garlic clove – crushed
  • 0.5 tsp Kosher salt
  • 0.25 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 – 11 oz can of Cream of Mushroom soup
  • 6 oz Water

Process

  1. Mise en Place: Measure and prepare your ingredients prior to starting.
  2. Sprinkle ribs with Salt and Pepper and put in slow cooker.
  3. Add vegetables, onion, garlic, and water.
  4. Cook on Low for 8 hrs.
  5. Remove meat and other ingredients, skim off fat and discard.
  6. Mix in the CoM soup and return the meat and vegetables.
  7. Cook 30 mins more.
