A quick and easy way to make a try of bite sized appetizers. I present this recipe using the easy use of canned biscuits from the store. If I have time, I prefer to make my own biscuits or use my quick braided French bread for the wreath. This is meant to be served warm.
Ingredients
- 14 Biscuits – 1 – 2 cans
- 2 TBL Olive oil
- 10 oz Frozen cut Spinach – thawed and drained
- 2 cups Mozzarella cheese – shredded
- 1 cup Ricotta cheese
- 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese – shredded
- 0.25 cup Mayonnaise
- 2 tsp Garlic powder
- 1 tsp Kosher salt
- Red pepper flakes (optional)
Process
- Mise en Place: Measure and prepare ingredients prior to starting.
- Preheat oven to 350 F
- Make Wreath
- Cut biscuits into half circles.
- Place around the edge of an oven ready pan or dish cut side down.
- Make sure biscuits touch to form a dam
- Brush with olive oil
- Make Dip
- Mix remaining ingredients in a bowl
- Spoon into center of biscuit dam and sprinkle with red pepper flakes.
- Bake 25 – 30 mins until dip is bubbly or biscuits are golden.
- Keep an eye on the biscuits they may finish early.
- Let cool 10 mins before serving.
