Baked Biscuit Wreath with Spinach Dip Center

A quick and easy way to make a try of bite sized appetizers. I present this recipe using the easy use of canned biscuits from the store. If I have time, I prefer to make my own biscuits or use my quick braided French bread for the wreath. This is meant to be served warm.

Ingredients

  • 14 Biscuits – 1 – 2 cans
  • 2 TBL Olive oil
  • 10 oz Frozen cut Spinach – thawed and drained
  • 2 cups Mozzarella cheese – shredded
  • 1 cup Ricotta cheese
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese – shredded
  • 0.25 cup Mayonnaise
  • 2 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Kosher salt
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)

Process

  1. Mise en Place: Measure and prepare ingredients prior to starting.
  2. Preheat oven to 350 F
  3. Make Wreath
    1. Cut biscuits into half circles.
    2. Place around the edge of an oven ready pan or dish cut side down.
    3. Make sure biscuits touch to form a dam
    4. Brush with olive oil
  4. Make Dip
    • Mix remaining ingredients in a bowl
    • Spoon into center of biscuit dam and sprinkle with red pepper flakes.
  5. Bake 25 – 30 mins until dip is bubbly or biscuits are golden.
    • Keep an eye on the biscuits they may finish early.
  6. Let cool 10 mins before serving.
