Apple-Garlic Pork Roast

We all know that apples and pork marry well together, and pork does good with garlic, so, what if we combined the two into an apple-garlic pork entree. This does take some time though, at least 10 hours so plan accordingly.

Ingredients

  • 4 lbs Boneless pork loin
  • 12 oz Apple sauce (or apple jam)
  • 4 oz Water
  • 3 Garlic cloves – minced (2.5 tsp)
  • 1 TBL dried Parsley flakes -or 3 TBL fresh
  • 1.5 tsp Kosher salt
  • 1.5 tsp Pepper

Process

  1. Mise en Place: Measure and prepare your ingredients prior to starting.
  2. But roast in half and rub salt and pepper over all surfaces.
  3. Place roast in slow cooker.
  4. Combine apple sauce, water, and garlic. Pour over roast.
  5. Sprinkle with parsley.
  6. Cover and cook 8-10 hrs until center is 150 F
  7. Remove from slow cooker and let rest 10 mins. Retain juices.
  8. Slice into serving disk and dress with juices.
