Intrepid Charm
If anything kind can truthfully be said,
it’s that he comes as advertised
but that can’t keep you
from getting caught in the cogs
of his charismatic charm,
or slipping seamlessly into
his sophisticated wit,
or scumming to
the subtle way his easy eyes
and seductive smile
hold you in the kind of trance
that causes you to surrender
your ability to discern
intrepid manipulation
removed from redemption.

Written after talking to my lawyer about my first amendment lawsuit against the Los Alamos National Laboratory concerning their national security negligence and my patriotic duty to call them out on it.
