Book one in the What Is To Be Done trilogy. In the aftermath of chaos following the release of a human engineered virus, a group of gifted scientists realize something must be done. Normally citizens would look to the government to solve all their problems, he problem is though, government has devolved into state of complete dysfunction too incompetent to fix anything. To remedy this, the gifted scientists devise an ingenious plan to right the listing vessel of democracy – that is until fate intercedes in the form of Sympatico who’s escaping Miguel, a human trafficking sociopath who has yet to understand that his very life depends on getting her back.
Calling themselves the Americans for a New America (ANA), the scientists not only have a plan, but have already successfully beta tested how it will be implemented. They are discussing their timeline to launch while playing poker at Armando’s Al Azar bar and cantina, when Sympatico burst into bar looking every but like the terrorized escaped slave she is. The boys of the ANA know instantly they not only have to help her, but that a very bad man is certain to be close behind.
