We were there when statues crumbled.
When simple people stood together
and bled for something better.
We remember the Holodomor,
the callous calculating way
savages act in self interest
and realize every nation is susceptible.
The world turns on minor moments
leaving us in awe at
all those things we caused
but never saw coming.
We wait with worry.
We plow forward with blinders.
We carefully plot each well laid course
on our random walk.
But in the end,
does anybody really know
what happens next?
