An analysis of the COVID crisis from start to finish utilizing real science. Mark Twain popularized the expression “there are lies, damn lies, and statistics.” His point being that science can provide persuasive power bolstering arguments but if not properly critiqued and applied, can be used nefariously, such as for propping up political narratives. This book follows an engineer through the COVID crisis applying simple math and responsible logic to shatter the medical, media, and government narratives of that time. Each chapter explores aspects of the crisis causing wide-spread hysteria and needless worry while examining how academia, medical professionals, federal agencies, and politicians disregarded truth for power, profit and prestige, ruining people’s trust in once esteemed institutions. Each chapter was submitted to the NY Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, and Chicago Tribune as essays during the crisis, only no one in establishment media had the curiosity to investigate, the courage to challenge, or integrity to allow conclusions outside prescribed narratives to be published.
