Book two in the, WHAT IS TO BE DONE, trilogy, Copyright 2021
Query: TROPHIC CASCADE
Dear M:
It’s one thing to rescue someone from horrible circumstances but a completely different matter to be rescued from the consequences of those circumstances. While Jake and his cohort of retired scientists calling themselves the Americans for a New America (ANA) rescued Sympatico from human traffickers, she’s a long way from being mentally or emotionally rescued, but that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t try. I am seeking representation of my contemporary novel, TROPHIC CASCADE – The Rise and Fall of Quiet Acquiescence, complete at 94,000 words, which is book two in of WHAT IS TO BE DONE trilogy.
The sudden arrival of Alverez, a fed from Washington sent to hunt down suspected seditionists, causes the ANA to once more delay the launch of their virtual coup. At the same time Miguel’s boss, Ramon, flies in from Mexico to personally oversee Sympatico’s abduction. Once she taken, the ANA launch a daring rescue mission to get her back and, in the process, take down Ramon and his human trafficking cartel.
Set in Northern New Mexico, TROPHIC CASCADE, is for anyone who rallies around the heroism of ordinary people doing extraordinary things to make their world safe. The novel draws on my experiences as a Los Alamos National Laboratory research engineer and member of the DOJ Human Trafficking Task Force. The novel’s title is drawn from Darwin’s survival of the fittest and what happens when an apex predator is taken down.
Thank you for considering, TROPHIC CASCADE. The full manuscript is available upon request, and excerpt chapters are available on my website at rmdolin.com. I invite you to review my other novels, books, and poetry, and look forward to your response and to establishing a long-term partnership. Per your submission guidelines, I have. . .
Respectfully,
R. M. Dolin, Ph.D.
