This recipe is for baked tomato slices that can be served as an appetizer or side. The title pretty much says it all.
Ingredients
- Tomatoes – sliced
- Parmesan – grated, Mexican Cotija is a nice substitute
- Basil – chopped
- Balsamic Vinegar
- Garlic – minced (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Process
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
- Line a baking sheet.
- Place tomato slices on baking sheet.
- Brush with balsamic vinegar
- Sprinkle on the Parmesan.
- Top with basil.
- Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and minced garlic if using.
- Bake until cheese is melted (approximately 10 minutes).
