The Dangling Conversation

One hides from life, the other afraid to live; two strangers
with nothing in common other than the park bench they share.

Each evening Kyle sits on his quiet park bench contemplating how he can possibly save his on-again/off-again relationship with Nadia while avoiding arrest as the government’s fall-guy for a software glitch rendering all food and drugs approved in the last ten years suspect. Isabelle’s everything Kyle’s not, she’s young, impulsive, emotionally driven, and scared; scared of her abusive Ex, of having to restart all over again, and most of all, scared of love. When Isabelle invades Kyle’s quiet sanctuary, it sets off a series of deeply probing conversations about life, love, and the incredible complexities of just getting by.

A contemporary story set on any park bench anywhere in the world, the novel’s format is 100% dialogue, with each chapter a standalone short story weaving together the struggles of two ordinary people doing their best to deal with real life.
