A still small part of you
has always loved me, always will.
Overshadowed by demanding distractions
preventing us from taking
necessary steps toward
abundant joys you’re afraid to embrace
and feel you don’t deserve.
We are meant to be together,
which is how I know that one day
sunlight shall return,
then, that small part of you that never stopped
loving me grows in strength and
finds the courage to embrace
the forever bond we’ve always shared.
A rare inescapable connection
that’s uniquely non-repeatable.
