A Greek yogurt sauce that dresses up your meat while infusing calm flavors. Can be made just before serving or a day before. This recipe will cover up to 2 lbs of thinly sliced flank steak.
Ingredients
- 4 oz Greek yogurt
- 1 TBL chopped chives – or 1 tsp dried
- 0.25 tsp Kosher salt
- 0.25 tsp Black pepper
- Optional two Garlic cloves – minced
- Optional 1 tsp Onion powder
- Optional 1 tsp Dill
Process
- Mise en Place: Measure and prepare your ingredients prior to starting.
- Mix all the ingredients together.
- Drizzle sauce over the meat just before serving.
- Optionally sprinkle more chives or parsley flakes on top as a garnish
Note 1: Recommend only adding one optional spice per recipe, you don’t want the sauce to be overwhelming.
Note 2: The dill option is probably better used in a fish or chicken application, but could work in a Gyro.
