Every culture has their brand of spices and unique way of combining them into signature cuisine. Here is a salmon glaze recipe with a distinctive nod toward Asian flare. This glaze could also be used for pork or chicken for those meats, you may want something a little stronger, but hey, you’re the chef, you decide.
Ingredients
- 4 TBL Hoisin Sauce
- 2 TBL Rice Vinegar
- 2 TBL Soy Sauce
- 2 TBL Nirin*
- 1 TBL fresh Ginger – minced
- 0.5 tsp Garlic chili paste
- 0.5 tsp Garlic powder
- 0.5 Lime zest + the juice from the half lime

- Mix everything together and let it rest at least 30 mins.
* Nirin is a Japanese sweet rice wine but if you don’t have any handy, substitute 2 TBL of dry white wine with 1 tsp of sugar.
