Companion poem to chapter 11 in the R.M. Dolin novel, "What Is to Be Done"
Read the chapter
I can almost touch you.
The darkness of night
let's me believe
we’re still together.
Tell me you love me,
Let me whisper why it matters.
Tell me I’ll be okay,
even though I'm far less certain.
You are still so close
to feel the tenderness of your touch,
even though the coldness
of my night
tells me I’m all alone.
From the R.M. Dolin novel, “What Is to Be Done.” Jake had a plan, but then Padre out foxed him so now he has to bear the burden of help the woman he rescued. He’s awake before dawn spending time with Emelia, hoping she can provide guidance.
