Your trepidations are valid
given the many challenges
we must endure.
I share those concerns,
but view them as temporary struggles
worth the hardship.
Though we can’t be together
right now
as we'd like,
love is not governed by
time or distance.
One year, two years,
even five, is but a moment
relative to
the shared life waiting
for us.
