Smoked Chicken Rub

This is a rub for when you are smoking a chicken or any other fowl. Quick and simple, you can easily adjust for your personal tastes. Good for 1 whole chicken or up to 10 thighs.

Ingredients

  • 0.25 cup Brown sugar
  • 0.25 cup Hungarian Paprika
  • 3 TBL Kosher salt – unless chicken was brine’d
  • 1 TBL Black Pepper – ground
  • 1 TBL Chili powder – red
  • 1 TBL Garlic powder
  • 1 TBL Onion powder
  • 1 tsp Cayenne Pepper powder

Process

  • Mix all the ingredients together.
  • Brush fowl with olive oil then sprinkle on the rub
