Poems from the R.M. Dolin novel, “The Dangling Conversation”
Scattered Memories
Sometimes life is
is an empty jar
in a room
of scattered memories
I didn’t mean to spill.
Once I do,
all that can be done
is to stare at a floor
and wipe away tears,
overwhelmed at
the impossible task
of properly putting
memories back
in a way that
doesn’t break my heart.
From chapter 11 of the R.M. Dolin novel, “The Dangling Conversation.” Kyle explains the tragic part of his Olivia story.
