Masquerade Dreams
My heart is certain
we’ve met before
but,
it may have been a dream
masquerading
as desperate desire.
Background poem for the novel, “The Dangling Conversation.” Kyle losing touch with reality as his love for Nadia consumes his sense of reasonableness.
