Poem by R.M. Dolin
Desperados
Tell me quick
before you leave, how come
no one saw the storm
was coming,
but everyone had
an excuse for not being prepared.
As the deeds of desperados
are recorded,
the nobility of their cause
gets lost in the antics
of their methods.
From chapter 28 of the R.M. Dolin novel, “What Is to Be Done.” Miguel shows up at the Al Azar demanding Sympatico be returned. He offers Jake a huge amount of money but Jake refuses. Miguel informs Jake that he works for desperate men and things are not going to end well for anyone. Jake and the rest of the ANA plot how they can proceed in light of Miguel’s threat.
