Reconnecting
When we do finally reconnect,
when our lips lean
into that tender
second first kiss,
it will be a moment
burning indelibly into
each of our souls
lighting the forever fire
warming your heart,
calming inner voices
speaking in dialects of doubt
that push me away,
and keep you in
a constant state
of fearful risk aversion. . .
