A poem by R.M. Dolin
Darkness Surrounding Light
Does darkness surround
light as a pre-cursed messenger
for a storm’s intensity
or does he darkness
chase light
to the very edge
of tranquility
because that’s where
it most desires
to unleash
it’s rage.
From chapter 11 of the R.M. Dolin novel, “An Unsustainable Life – The Book of Darwin.” Describing the intensity of a winter’s storm and the way a clear sunny sky can instantly be cast into darkness as the storm invades like a conquering army.
