Grilled, Broiled, or Sauteed Asparagus

Whether you grill, saute, or broil your asparagus, this hack will help get a plated product that not only looks good, but taste like asparagus should.

Hack #1; To trim your asparagus, hold it near the base in one hand and bend the stalk, where it breaks is the transition point between what needs to be trimmed away and what can be cooked.

Hack #2: Heat a pot of water to boil and blanch your asparagus for 1 min to soften. Drain the water and place asparagus on a cooling rack to dry.

Hack #3: As grill, saute pan, or broiler get warm, brush olive oil over asparagus and generously salt and pepper. Since the asparagus is already cooked and warm (from blanching), you just need to get a nice surface finish and serve. Rotate the little green guys as they cook.

Bon Appetite
