Fresh Croutons

If you are serving a salad or soup with your dinner, fresh croutons make a nice compliment. Also, if you have some stale bread, why not make croutons rather than give it to the fish in the city pond, or the pigeons in the park. If you are starting with fresh break, slice the bread and leave it out for an hour or so to stiffen.
